Breitling’s 1950s Superocean dive watches were designed in response to the rise of professional and recreational scuba diving. In 1957, Breitling plunged into the underwater world with two pioneering dive watches – the Superocean, the world’s first diving chronograph. Today’s Superocean Heritage combines traditional design elements with modern craftsmanship, featuring iconic details such as the signature triangular hands and unidirectional polished black ceramic bezel. Its tone-on-tone lacquered anthracite dial subtly contrasts with the black ceramic bezel, creating a fascinating play of light and shadow that adds depth and sophistication to the design.

Its unidirectional rotating bezel features a luminescent marker at 12 o’clock, paying homage to the origins of this watch as a diver’s watch and a practical tool for underwater timekeeping. The dark grey dial is available with two straps: a classic stainless steel mesh strap and a rubber strap that mimics the feel of steel for a sportier look, both with a folding clasp.
The words “One of 500” are engraved on the caseback, underscoring its exclusivity. Water-resistant to 200 meters, this watch is equipped with the Breitling B20 in-house movement, a Swiss Official Observatory-certified movement renowned for its precision and performance.
